In this second of 10 sessions, The Madame will introduce you to Modern Paganism and It’s Ancient Roots

Topics will include:
The Ancient Roots of Modern Paganism, also known as “Neo-Paganism”
Influence of European Germanic, Greco-Roman, and Afro-Caribbean Culture
The Witch Hunts
The 20th Century and the Rise of Wicca
Big Names in Modern Paganism
Eclecticism or Appropriation or Appreciation?
Symbology

The Madame’s Folk Magic Series will be offered in 10 sessions on the 3rd Saturday of the month at Alchemy & Ashes starting January 19th at 1:00 pm. Each class will be 2 – 3 hours, and will include handouts, discussion, show-and-tell and question and answer session. While designed as a series, each class will stand independent – take the entire series or only the classes that interest you. Class size is limited to 12 students.
