The Madame’s Bone Oracle Reading 04.06.20

The Spirits chose DEATH, FAUNA, and AIR from The Madame’s Bone Oracle.

I’ll break down the meaning of each bone, and then we’ll discuss them as a group.

DEATH: Ending, Letting Go, Past

FAUNA: Animal spirits, healing through connection with animals

AIR: Learning, Creating, Intuition, Psyche, Mental State

I woke up this morning with a firm, calm, reassuring male voice saying “Stay the course.” I didn’t recognize the voice as someone I knew. My dreams last night were a bit chaotic. You know when you’re moving homes, and you’re trying to decide what to keep and what to get rid of, and you get to the point where you want to get rid of ALL of it? Like that. As soon as I came downstairs and made my coffee (nothing gets done before coffee!), I decided to pull bones with the specific purpose of clarifying “Stay the course”.

When the first bone out of the bag was DEATH, I knew where this was going. What’s worth keeping, and what can we let go of? We’re all shifting into this new consciousness – this new world where things look different and we must behave differently. What lessons have we learned (AIR) along the way, and what old thoughts and beliefs are we shedding? Keep shedding those old ways. Stay the course.

The next bone was FAUNA – the animal kingdom. We are the animals in this reading. Humans ARE animals with opposable thumbs and less hair (usually). We think of humans as more evolved creatures because of our range of emotions and our ability to think critically versus acting on instinct. Is this really true, though? What do animal’s instincts tell them? Eat. Avoid danger. Those two instincts are paramount for survival. How can we use that animal instinct in our current situation? Stay home (avoid danger). As long as you have food (to eat), stay home. Stay the course.

The final bone in the reading, AIR, urges us to use this time at home to learn new ways of being on this Earth with less harm to it than before. This isn’t hustle time, and you shouldn’t feel bad if you’re not at your most productive (I have to keep reminding myself of this). We are all learning right now. Stay the course. Not only should we be learning about our internal selves right now, but that leads to learning about ways to be on this Earth in a more beneficial manner to ourselves, others, and the terra under our feet. Learn about plants that attract bees and butterflies, and herbs that you can cook with and use medicinally. Read up on ways to reuse and recycle to reduce waste.  Educate yourself on proper cleaning and sanitization practices, including not overdoing the hand sanitizer, and how you can do your part to stop the spread of this virus, and those that are sure to follow (it’s an inevitable system of nature). How can we utilize naturally renewing resources like wind, water and sun as energy? What can we do to decrease air and ocean pollution? Stay home. Learn. Cooperate. We’re all in this together.

Stay the course.
