WATER: Relationships, Emotions, Healing, Emotional Being

MIND: Problem solved by thinking it through, analytical, logical

MIRROR: Reality, truth, certainty, perspective

Today’s message is about finding some balance between our mental and emotional well-being. WATER is our emotions. MIND is our mentality. MIRROR is telling us we need to put things in perspective. This reading was done utilizing the bone casting method (as opposed to a draw by hand) where the bones are “thrown” from above onto a cloth with a circle at the center. Bones that land inside the circle are relevant to the reading. I read from the center out, and find more relevance especially if the bones are touching, which is how these bones were read today. It seems that we deal with turmoil one of two ways – we try to logic the hell out of it, or we strap in to an emotional roller coaster to ride it out. Neither of those methods alone usually result in much resolution, and we expend a lot of energy that could be better utilized in a more balanced approach. Let’s use the MIRROR to gain some needed perspective today. I recently read a quote that said “every storm runs out of rain eventually” (WATER). Perspective tells us that even though things are rough all around right now, it will get better! It always does. If you’re reading this, you have a 100% track record of surviving every storm that has come to pass in your life. That’s great odds! Logic and emotion are both necessary for our survival and well-being, but they are not “one size fits all” problem solvers. Sometimes we need our MIND to take the lead, and sometimes it’s our heart (WATER) that needs to rule. Today needs a balance of both. If you find yourself stuck in a hamster wheel of worry in your mind, try to divert that pattern with emotion – go hug someone (in your house, of course – pets count too!) or reach out via text to someone you love and let them know you’re thinking about them. If you’re feeling like an emotional mess, try a mundane mental task, like a grocery list or go organize a closet (you know you need to anyway!). Make an effort to recognize your “default setting”, whether that’s over thinking or emotional rollercoaster, and use anything (healthy) that will divert your focus from being so one-sided. The Spirits want me to tell you that SCRYING is an interesting interpretation of these bones today as well! Fill a dark bowl with WATER. Use the surface as a MIRROR. Relax your focus. Let your intuitive MIND interpret the images and symbols that appear.
