The spirits chose SEEKER, SUN, and FLORA from The Madame’s Bone Oracle this morning.

SEEKER: Self, Ego, Querent, Within

SUN: Consciousness, Illuminate, Day, Active

FLORA: Plant allies, Plant spirits, healing through herbs

Today’s message encourages us to look to the symbolism of the  Sunflower (SUN + FLORA) and find ways to incorporate the meaning of that symbolism into our own lives. When SEEKER shows up in a reading, it is indicative that we need to look inward and to apply the message to ourselves, as opposed to applying the message to our thoughts and actions on a social level (outside of ourselves).  Building off of yesterday’s fire energy and the energies of the Beltane sabbat, Sunflowers remind us that the sun will rise again and we’ll have a new opportunity for growth. Sunflowers always face the sun, actually turning during the day so that they’re faces receive the most light. The message: Seek the light (hope).  Because their faces mimic the rays of the sun, they are emblems of truth and light. The message: Seek the truth. They gift us with edible seeds and nourishing oils, as well as beautiful yellow and orange dye. The message: Share your light with others.  They are planted to remove toxins from tainted soil. The message: Transmute your toxicity to wisdom. Their yellow color coincides with our solar plexus chakra – our place of will and confidence. The message: You are worthy and capable. The next time you feel hope waning and joy seems fleeting, call forth the image of a sunflower and remind yourself of these messages. Plant a sunflower to support the bees, butterflies, and pollinators that help to continue this cycle, to have a physical representation, and TO BE  a physical representation of these messages.
