The Spirits chose BIRTH, EBB, and SUN from The Madame’s Bone Oracle this morning.
Today’s message is about “the pause” (EBB). Today, to accompany the bone casting, I was shown a baby as it emerges from its mother (BIRTH). They come from the comfort of the dark into stark brightness (SUN). Newborn babies don’t usually come out screaming. They remain in that liminal space between life and death – the pause – before taking their first breath, usually followed by a cry at the relief of everyone in the room. Not only have I given birth to 2 sons of my own, but I’ve had the honor of being present for the birth of 3 of my sister’s children. That pause never ceases to have an otherworldly feel to it, much like the feeling when you’re in the room when someone passes. The liminal space between life and death. The Spirits are using this imagery to communicate their message that follows all the change we have experienced this year. BIRTH represents newness. EBB is the pause – it is a note to take a moment before proceeding. SUN is enlightenment – the awareness of the different place we find ourselves in, much like a newborn. The Spirits, in their tongue in cheek manner, are saying “you can cry like a baby” for being forced to leave the comfort of the dark, or you can open your eyes, pause, take a deep breath, and just live. Just live.
